It was a great experience from the start. Carina has the perfect blend of professionalism and kindness that made us feel very comfortable. She listened to what we both wanted and designed accordingly. The installation went extremely well. Trevor and Johnny were extremely hard working and very competent during the installation. I/we highly recommend Closets by Design! 5 Stars!!!

It was an incredible experience. The designer is very talented and honest. She made a beautiful service. You could see that she was well trained and experienced in pricing. The pricing is reasonable.

4 times they broke appointments.3 of the 4 times they called the day before & one time they called the day of the appointment.. The first go around they installed the wrong size drawer face in my wife's closet. They had retained my credit card number & without my approval charged the full amount for my wife's BEFORE correcting their mistake. They would not return calls. i

The service was excellent! Everyone that I worked with was great from the designers to the installers. They were reliable, prompt, efficient and clean. I am very pleased with how both closets turned out and as a result I am now thinking about doing a linen closet and my pantry. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat.

It is with great regret that I write this review because I do not like to speak so negatively of others but this was by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had, particularly with the owner of this location, Mary. It started with an overbooked consultation appointment, which Mary tried to change the day before my appointment. It should have been an immediate red flag. My consultation was professional and overall went fine. The sales person was punctual and the price seemed pretty fair although I did not do much research otherwise. A few days after signing a contract and giving a non-refundable deposit (which they make you do if you want to move forward), I scheduled an appointment for my installation. My installation was set for a Monday, which was about 2 and 1/2 weeks after my initial consultation. The Saturday before the appointment I received a voice mail from Mary that they again "overbooked" and wanted to see if I would be willing to reschedule. I returned the call not more than a hour later and left a return voice mail stating I could not reschedule and to please call me back ASAP. No one called back. I called again Sunday several times and left another voice mail. Still no response. I called again first thing Monday morning, the day of my scheduled installation, and left ANOTHER voice mail with STILL NO RESPONSE. I continued to call and finally got a hold of Mary at 11AM, when my installation should have actually been finished, to find out that quite simply they weren't coming. They had just flat out cancelled my appointment without my approval or knowledge. I was given excuse after excuse as to why no one ever called me back all weekend long (the best was that she didn't know how to check the messages). In addition I was told that I was the only person unwilling to accommodate a reschedule, implying that Mary's scheduling inadequacies were somehow my problem or my fault. This led me to think how many other people did Mary inconvenience that day? She stated they would try to get someone to my home later in the day and would call me back. Hours later, I (shockingly) never got a call back. I tried following up with my sales rep to see what could be done and never got a response from her either. I guess I no longer mattered since the sale was done and they had my deposit money. No one ever came on Monday and when I finally got a hold of Mary again later in the day, she offered to install the next day and told me she would work something out to accommodate for the inconvenience of wasting my entire day waiting for an appointment that never happened. The next day the crew did show up to my home within the allotted time window, however WITH THE WRONG PRODUCT! Nearly 3 hours later, they were back with the corrected product and ready to finally install. I will say that the crew worked quickly once they were here and were very respectful of my home. They even covered all of my new carpeting with plenty of drop clothes and were careful with my walls and furniture. But when the installation was finished, the drama ensued again. I asked what accommodation they were going to give me for the inconvenience as promised by Mary and the guys knew nothing about it. When they called her in the office, I was again given a run around and told there was nothing she could do other than maybe send some accessory that I had no use for. I told her to forget it and that unfortunately I would never be using nor recommending her company again. After we hung up, I was going over the paperwork with the installers when she immediately called back to tell me that my credit card wasn't working for the final balance. What amazed me was that I had not yet signed off on the paperwork/authorization giving her permission to charge the balance on my card yet she went ahead and charged it anyway! What if I had wanted to pay via another card or another means? Didn't matter to Mary because she needed the money now and it could not wait one second ... her words not mine. In sum, the customer service from the owner at this location is absolutely horrendous. Mary has no respect for the customers' time and schedule and is nothing but rude to deal with. Upon posting my experience to other social media sites, I have learned of other friends who had similar experiences with this location. I truly have no idea how this location is still in business with Mary running the office/administrative side of things the way she does. It is a shame because the other employees are suffering for what seems to be an unorganized and impatient owner. For the headaches caused and average product quality (let's be honest this product is just nice looking particle board), I would NEVER deal with this company again NOR recommend them to others. Save yourself the headache!

I made the appointment a week in advance to meet the designer at the house I am moving to, which is 25 minutes from my present home. At 9:00 AM on the day of the appointment, I called Closets by Design to confirm the 10:00 AM appointment. I drove to the house, and received a call from Sarah at the office of Closets by Design at EXACTLY 10:00 AM, telling me Kate wouldn't be able to meet me that day, as she had some personal business to take care of and was out of the area. An offer to reschedule was made by the Sarah. AS IF!!! I told Sarah I found this treatment completely unprofessional and inexcusable. Especially since I had confirmed the appointment that very morning, and had been told nothing of any possible no-show.

The designer failed to convey the appropriate information and consequently, the product had to be revised upon arrival which caused a delay in installation of several hours. The product was manufactured in the wrong color (I did receive a $100 credit). There is a defect in the problem which Closets by Design is too busy to remedy. Instead of honoring the warranty, they seem to think they can address this defect whenever they have a chance or happen to be in the area. That is not acceptable. The product is well made and I have two more areas that need work, but it's not reasonable that they take a lackadaisacal approach to remedying replacement of work that was defective upon delivery.

Very professional Closet system looks gorgeous tailored clean! Gives a fresh room to what was my dreariest bedroom to the crispest bedroom. Everything has a place. Kate designed beautifully and the product is strong! So happy :)

Our designer was very knowledgable and offered some very good suggestions. She really listened to us and asked about our needs. She was able to get us an additional discount and we were very happy with the total price. On the day when our closets were installed the installers were very courteous and professional - they even cleaned up after themselves. This was a very good experience and would reccommend this company again.

This was horrible experience. After an enthusiastic sales pitch and design by a Closets by Design salesperson (CBD), the entire experience has fallen apart. The installer was rude, uncouth, uncooperative and generally uninformed. At the end of the installation, he tried to get us to sign off without allowing us to look at the product (We now have reason to believe that he positioned parts of the installation to cover up his mistakes.) The installation itself was no better. It is a product of much poorer quality then we expected. Many parts were damaged in installation and had to be replaced, while other parts have simply been installed incorrectly, poorly or haphazardly. We have already had to pay other contractors to facilitate this process for CBD; in addition, CBD damaged the newly refinished wood floor in the larger walk in closet they were working in; After the initial complaint, they sent their incompetent installer back and he was so irritated that he made my wife feel unsafe in her own home. Since then, they have sent another installer who has done his best to fix the initial installation but problems-significant problems-still remain. Not to mention, the time, stress, delays and disappointment associated with this project. We paid a premium to this company expecting good service, a good product and at the very least a competent installation. We have received none of these, and throughout this, CBD had tried to do as little as they can to fix all of these issues. Suffice it is to say, we regret doing business with them. They eventually fixed the closets as best as they could--but did not give us a partial refund. They are a franchise, and I reached out to the headquarters--who did nothing to help them. I would not hire them.
